Apple shareholders want to know what is going to happen after Steve Jobs

For years Apple officials have been pressured to tell the world what the company’s plans are going to be “after Steve Jobs”. Such discussions were always delayed. However, since the health condition of Steve Jobs is starting to be more serious, a group of shareholders are trying to bring this issue back on the table, during the annual shareholders meeting that is going to take place today.

While the management of the company says nothing about the health of Steve Jobs, the subject is going to become very important, according to specialists .Also, it is unknown if Steve Jobs’s health condition is going to allow him to participate at the shareholders meeting. This is not the first time when this is happening. Two years ago, Jobs missed the shareholders meeting, because of medical reasons. It was later found out that Steve Jobs had a liver transplant.

Also, five years ago, he received pancreas cancer surgery. He was then on medical leave for a month. Last month, Steve Jobs announced that he is going to go on medical leave again to focus on his health, however he provided no details about the conditions he faces. What is different now is that a group of shareholders asked Apple officials to provide more details about the company’s strategy after Steve Jobs.

They are requesting the Apple board to come up and to release to the public a succession plan of the current boss of Apple, which is going to be revised every year.
